Well hi dee16! You made me laugh thinking about you MAKING your mum tape S&D!!! ;D I can just imagine you... To answer yours and sadbigfan (love that!) question: I unfortunately have only bumped into Belinda a couple of times in foyers at theatres. She's still doing theatre now and then and she's as funny as ever. She would always crack me up in the green room and sometimes on set. She is the loveliest, funniest and generous lady you could ever wish to meet. I have a funny photo of her on location once. This will give you an idea of what a great lady she is... She went shopping at the local supermarket with rollers in her hair! And let me take a photo of her too! Well I actually grabbed the wardrobe dept polaroid and had to snap her... she looked soooo silly with her rather large hair curlers and pulling a funny face! Oh and Abilgail is so sweet. I know she poses all sexy and stuff but really she's like a little girl with such a soft spoken voice and could never think bad of anyone. The other actor that surprised me the most was Rowena Wallace! When she rejoined the show and I won't say how or why or I'll spoil it for any of you who have not seen the whole series, I was a little wary that she may be a bit like 'Pat the RAT!' Ha, was I surprised to find she was nothing like her character. I know it may sound like we were all lovely and happy and stuff but sorry, that's how it was.... hahahahah I would tease Ian (Wayne) all the time that he must get all his nastiness out in his character because he was too nice in real life! It was the same for all the villians.... they were usually the nicest people on set! Go figure! There was one person I did not get on with but I will not name them in a public forum. That's just not cricket! Especially if they can't defend themself. I say that just to prove that occassionally there was friction and personalities that took some work to deal with but we were all professional in the end and kept personal stuff out of work. Though actors can be a gossipy lot! Umm dee16 I kinda answered your question in my first post of what I'm up to. But more specific to what you asked I do theatre occassionally and film here and there but am mainly interested in filmmaking now. You can google me (that sounds funny ) and see what I've been up too. The are some lame but funny shots from the little theatre company I work with sometimes. They're show are actually a lot of fun to do though. ooops I'm taking up all the forum space here but you did ask me about stuff that I like to remember Anyhoo, it's almost midnight here in Sydney Australia so I better go to sleep. Bye for now and enjoy the show!

Oops and TOM thankyou for the compliment... especially putting me in the company of Belinda and Abigail I tried my best always, even when the plots went... well... a bit craaazzzzyyyy... ;D I always tried to be true to the character no matter what the writers threw at her. The only real regret I have was how poor Susan ends the series... and I ain't saying... for the one's of you who haven't seen the whole series yet! Cheers TOM x

I think i'm on my 3rd run of watching the full series of S&D!!!! It was first on local TV. Then it was on SKY (UK GOLD) now it's on channel 5 and there are still stuff that I had forgotten that had happened!!!! I remember Rowena Wallace (Patricia) coming back in the show but can't remember 100% how it happens.....so this is why I have to watch the show over and over again!!! Would love to know who your ENEMY (lol) was but I know you won't spill the beans..... oh dear..... Will be doing a search of your name on google.....
bye for now dee

Hello Oriana,
Thanks for taking the time to share your memories of your time on SAD - I love the way you never know what is going to happen next, it must have been a lot of fun to do those dramatic stories. The storylines with Susan and Wayne are definitely some of the best in the later episodes. Were there any storylines you particularly enjoyed?

Hi Oriana Lovely to hear from you, and I think it's great you've taken the time to post here! I have a question I've been trying to find the answer to for a while, but no-one has been able to tell me. Perhaps you know? Which parts of Sydney were used for most of the location shooting? I know Cornelia Frances mentioned Kenthurst and Dural in her autobiography. I'm particularly interested to know where the real 'Woombai' buildings were? Regards Si-Co

Hey ya guys, sorry I haven't responded for awhile.... been very busy doing funding submissions for my feature film I'm trying to get up. OK.... here goes....lets catch up then.... Hey ya Earl, hahaha that's OK! for a time there I wouldn't tell ppl I was in a SOAP! but I'm proud of my past work now.... it is part of what makes me who I am today. And no, sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to work in the UK. OOOOO dee, you ask the tough ones hahaha umm, yes the gorgeous HOT Mark Conroy! (Glen Young) oolala Yes, lots of us (male and female) had the hots for him! Lovely guy .... who had a lovely girlfriend too! And well, dee, Susan did fall in lurrrve with him and get to kiss him .... Me,.... I just had the hots for him. hahahah ;D Thanks Si-Co, but this is fun for me and flattering. This stuff puts a smile on my face and if I've had a down day, well places like this really cheer me up. So, thanks to you guys too for making me feel good. Oh and Si-Co, sorry can't remember the exact locations but Cornelia is right, the Hamilton house was at Dural and Woombi was at Kenthurst (or maybe it was the other way round?) sorry, I would get driven there and never really took all that much notice. And you are asking someone who's turning 46 soon and has had 3 kids since (so the brain feels like swiss cheese sometimes ) that and I'm trying to remember back to the mid eighties. Anyhoo, thanks for the memories guys. seeya again. Ciao for now... stay well and happy.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! How could I forget VinegarBits!!! your username makes me laugh... and think of 'Prisioner'. Loved that show. I still wish I had the chance to be on it but it was shooting in Melbourne and I was working in Sydney. And hahaha VB, the actors never knew what was going to happen next either sometimes! They even kept the cliffhanger secret from us of 'Who SHOT WAYNE!!!' until we came back from our Christmas break. 5 of us shot a separate scene of shooting Wayne, so none of us knew who it was going to be. Can't remember now... there were all these dream sequences that Wayne had.... Oh hang on, I think it was Susan! Gulp! That's right and my poor Mum goes to jail for me, I think that's what happened. I haven't just let a spoiler loose have I? Just forget what I just said! Yes SAD certainly had its dramatic storylines VB and lots of them were fun to do, in an acting, challenging, sort or way. I'm kind of happy though that the lovely, kind, caring Susan went looney because it was a lot more fun to play her then I would have to say my favourite storyline (selfishly) was the honeymoon episodes because we got to go up north on warm pretty locations and have lots of fun. The sequences shot with no lines just mucking around where just great fun especially with Ian who is the most loveliest gentleman you could ever want to meet and very funny too. OK... I really have to go now... it's 2AM! here in Sydney .... bye for now

Thanks for your input, Oriana - it's really nice to have you posting on here!
Funnily enough, the Wayne shooting and Beryl in prison are the episodes that are showing in the UK at the moment.

oops sorry... I thought that had already happened before poor Glen dies.... hard to remember the sequence of events and I'm not absolutely certain it was Susan.... you know the tricky twists that can happen in SAD.... so stay tuned ..... unless you've already seen the show like I know you have Chris... Oh and Chris, I was just about to say I've been watching the lovely Alyce on Foxtel because I know you are a BIG fan of hers but I see you are away ahead of me. I unfortunatly have not had the priviledge of meeting her. She really does come across as such a naturely beautiful person, even on TV and that's not an easy thing to do! Cheers all and happy watching the wonderful rollercoaster that is the legendary Sons and Daughters. You know I still have the theme music get stuck in my head sometimes especially after being on here! LOL Bye for now.

I wish I could watch Alyce on Foxtel, but I'm in the UK! Alyce sent me a couple of emails about the site. I asked her to prove who she was by sending a few photos, and she did!

Hi Oriana,
Thanks very much for answering my questions. Glad to hear you loved Prisoner too - such a shame they never did a cross-over story and featured a SAD character in Wentworth (or maybe they could have had an ex-inmate join the SAD cast?), although it is good to see Beryl behind bars.
;D

Hey ya Vinegarbits!
hahaha now wouldn't that have been something! Oh Yeah! That would have made for some very interesting TV! OH yes Prisioner would have to be my other consideration of 'one of the last true GREAT Aussie soaps'! And it provided sooo many GREAT roles for so many of Australia's GREAT actresses. To answer your other thread I haven't read Cornelia's book (bet it has some juicey bits and if not, why?) LOL
And I'm not touching your comment on Berly!!! hahahaha ;D
Bye for now
