Simon, a Dr Eldelson (spelling?) owned the Dural place used for the Hamilton location and had a very young hot wife (girlfriend ? can't rememeber) but I do remember how all the crew would stop and gork with jaws dropped ....whenever she would come out of the house in her hot pink jumpsuit and saunter over to her hot pink sports car and drive off.... very funny....
But we only used the Dural house for exteriors... the front of the house (the drive way, front gardens and big double front doors) and the back yard (swimming pool and grounds)
The interior was all shot at Channel 7 in a studio.
cheers
O

Oriana Thanks for that about the Hamilton house, don't think no one has asked that question anywhere before. I've always wondered what a lovely house they had. Back to my random episode last night, it was when Glen was on a life support machine and you went in disguise to visit him in hospital. Glen come round for a minute and said Suzie, Suzie, you were all smiles and looking so happy... then started to cry when you could hear the life support machine bleaping!!! fantastic acting by you Oriana!!! They thought it was a first on Neighbours with Des and Daphne in a similiar sort of scene, when Daphne was dying... but you had already done this in Sons and Daughters.

Oriana Also watched the episode where Wayne had just been shot and is in hospital blackmailing you. He is threatening to tell the police it was Beryl who shot him, unless you transfer all your money over to him! yeah right as if you're gonna do that! Back at the mansion you tell Beryl how much you hate Wayne and that he should just die. You end up getting a big smack around the face from Beryl .... Did that hurt Oriana?... (I think they added some extra sound affect for the actual slap)... then you got the sepia on you and the Sons and Daughters tune played. WHAT A STAR!

Oriana Hope your sons move went o.k on Sunday, as you said he was fleeing the nest! I'm 31, don't really want to leave home, got my own house which me a the missus are going to live in soon and hopefuly get married next year, in the process of moving out of home... but it's a big job, got loads of Sons and Daughters tapes too sort out, and put onto DVD etc... Don't think our' wedding will be like a Sons and Daughters one, they always seemed to go wrong somewhere along the way... though yours was quite a big affair, when you got hitched to Wayne!!!... you looked so nice. Getting back to houses, who really owned Charlies house... do you know??? was it really just next door too the Hamiltons??

Yeah I think she had "Wayne" problems in the scene.

msf ~ that's the shot that captures such a sad and soulful look from Oriana. It's a very powerful image - the mood conveys from the "inside", not the surface. Oriana ~ a cheeky question for you. My brother, a uk actor, currently has 4 series he was in now coming out on DVD's in the current catalogues. He gets residuals for all. Just read Wikepedia which says S&D's is showing from this month in Australia. Do you, and other cast members get rights to residuals? (Don't answer if this is too nosey a poser). I'm wondering if you have rights to your work from the '80's?
I'm curious now wombai. Who is your brother??
