Leila runs an acting school in western Sydney. In the late 1990s we did a stage play. She is a lovely person and a great actor. I haven't see her for the last few years, but I believe she is still running the acting school and was trying to get into politics. regards Tom Richards

Speaking of the Palmers, I thought Lisa Crittenden played Leigh Palmer brilliantly well and was very disappointed when she was written out.

apart from her "death" in front of that lorry! Shall I just say BOING ! I'm sorry but that scene makes me laugh every time I missed her death! I used to set my DVD recorder religiously every weekend for the show. Very rarely, it didn't record for some reason. Leigh's death was one of those occasions. I wanted to see her death because I didn't like the girl. I know she had problems, but she didn't give Beryl her baby back for God's sake! She deserved to join the great soap opera cast in the sky! ;D

My favourite character is definetly Alison! She is just too good an actress and she played the bitch role to perfection! I love Susan, Pat, Charlie and Caroline too but Alison was the best! I always waited for her parts to come on and thought it was brilliant how she got the best bitchy lines!
Susan deserves to be on here! When she turned against wayne and started to listen to Alison it was gold! I loved the character before anyway but when she turned it was so good!

Got to be Fiona, she was such a beacon of sympathy, wisdom and humour. I loved her scenes putting down Patricia. And I was so shocked and sad when I heard of Pat McDonald's death, I remember seeing both her and the late Brian Blain on UK breakfast TV about a year or so before she died.

Has to be Beryl - she was so sweet, always wanting to do the right thing and thinking of everyone else before herself.

I think my favourite character had to be Fiona. She was such a brilliant actress and she was a really good all round character! She was really lovely but could also be quite ruthless when she wanted to be! I always get a lump in my throat whenever i watch scenes where shes upset- she was so convincing. Overall though i feel the whole cast brought something really special to the show and in my opinion they didn't get half the recognition that they all deserve.

I completely agree that all of the cast had something special and it is a shame that S&D doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I'm always in tears when Pat McDonald "power-acts" (as a friend and I call it!) - she does emotion very well. Nobody slams down a phone, shows emotion in her eyes, or whips off their "the fly" sunglasses as powerfully as Pat McDonald.
