What happened at the Hamilton house?

Tom Richards says in the new documentary when he's at the "Hamilton" house in Dural that something really awful happened there and the house become known for "all the wrong reasons" and now they won't open the gates for anyone.

Does anyone know what happened?

I was wondering that too.
Was it anything to do with Sons and Daughters? Maybes crazed fans squatted there (They kept my blankets too ;D) ?

All I know is at the time Sons and Daughters was being made/used the house it was owned by a Doctor. I read that somewhere and THINK Belinda Giblin mentions it in her commentary on the 'Best of Pat' DVD.

I have heard somewhere that the Doctor was accused of murdering his wife..

:ooh no!!!! I remember either in an interview on radio or tv someone mentioned about when they were filming sons and daughters there was a doctor that owned the house and he had a lovely girlfriend that all the male actors would eye up if she was ever around while they were filming. Tom/Oriana/Steve you can confirm exactly what happened at the house.
