Families was obviously heavily influenced by sons and daughters... But it only really got good in the second half of its run, when it ditched australia and the bannermans arrived. Great storylines, great characters, and storylined and written by russell t davies and sally wainwright.

Reading some of my old scripts recently I was suddenly reminded of "Spider". Yet another boring "comic relief" character who only really had scenes with The Palmers. Those were definitely fast forward moments. Yep The Hamiltons were definitely the more interesting characters in the show for me :-)

Definitely the Hamiltons. Did like David and Beryl, and Susan2 is one of my favourites, but you can't beat Gordy, Barbara, Pat and good old Wayne!
