Which season was your favourite, or which one do you consider to have had the best storylines?
Please only vote if you've seen enough episodes from each season to give a reliable opinion.
Mine would be 1983 - highlights being the Patricia/Martin/Margaret triangle, leading to his death and David's imprionment, the storyline involving Fiona finding out Terry is her son, and the Dee Morrell episodes - her death basically turning many storylines on their head with Beryl and Margaret inheriting vast sums of money.
1984 would come a close second, with Patrica and Margaret's fued and reconciliation, David and Beryl splitting up, and the storyline involving Patricia's involvement with Roger Carlyle, her murder charge and the attempts on her life.

You have got it right there. Those are the ones I can watch again & again. Absolute classics and the regulars on fine form.

I'm going to be difficult and say 1985, although really it's pretty much a tie with 84. Even though losing Rowena early is a blow, that season still has it all! Everyone is still getting loads of interesting and compelling stuff to do (unlike 86 and 87 where Wayne and Susan were basically the only characters doing anything) and Leigh's entire arc is fantastic. Isn't 85 the one with Evil Fake Wayne too! Just superb!
