I was just wondering whether any of the S&D stars now live/work in the UK? Any ideas?

Philip Quast (Bob Mitchell) lives in London, is a big name in the musical theatre world, and has won 3 Olivier awards for musical roles. He first came over in the late '80's to play in Les Mis and now lives here permanently, but goes back to Oz occasionally to do theatre and film work. On UK tv he's been in Inspector Morse, Midsomer Murders, Ultraviolet and Holby City. Incidentally, speaking of musicals, Peter Cousens (Luke Carlyle) is a big name in musical theatre in Australia. He came over to London in the late '90's to play Phantom, but was out the day I went!

i remember watching an episode of Casualty in the late 80,s or early 90,s and Grant Piro who played Tony Parker was in it, also Andy Devine who plays Shadrach Dingle in Emmerdale had a small part in SaD in either 86 or 87.

I believe Rowena Wallace (Pat The Rat) was born in Coventry, just east of Birmingham and Cornelia Frances (who liked to be called Corny, apparently), who played Barbara, was also born somewhere in the UK.
Actor Robin Stewart, who played Ross Newman, also played Mike Abbott in Bless This House. Only looked about 20, though!
