Hey there
Realised I hadn't posted in ages, how's everyone doing?
I was wondering what people would like to see if there was a new series of Sons & Daughters made?
Have the show set in a different country? Have John and Angela be mixed race? Have Patricia have surgery to make her a man?
I'm sure we'll get some interesting suggestions...!

Hi Hunter.
I was thinking this very same thing a week or so ago. Think it was on hearing they are re-making The Young Doctors and I was NO Sons and Daughters would be much better and ideal!
I mean those twins born in the last episode would be 20 now, same age John and Angela were when the original series started!
It got me thinking of allsorts.... 20 Years
Well the first scene is Wayne being released from jail for Susans murder, and he goes to Beryls looking for his Father, unaware Gordon had died as his family have disowned him. Beryls grown up 'Robert' answers the door to him, Wayne is all cocky to him and Beryl, then Beryls burly new hubby comes to the door and takes him down a peg or two. In Sydney David and Alison have bought the mansion, after David made a fortune from his Market Garden and Charlie still lives next door, but is divorced from Todd.
I could go on forever lol

Jill could be back living in Fiona's mansion as the show's new 'wise old former prostitute' giving advice and support to all the characters.

Oh god. Does that mean I have to introduce them all? hehe
Perhaps Beryl is complaining that nobody's paying her for "Beryl's Biscuits" anymore, due to a contract that she signed 20 years ago (sound familiar? LOL)
And can we give Oriana some work? ....So Wayne didnt actually kill Susan. She was just unconscious...or (ooh I know) in a coma for 20 years. Now that's soap! :-)

Poor Beryl I noticed she had "jams" and so on for sale at Rob and Angela's cafe - is there no end to this woman's culinery skills? Seriously, I have to say I did feel a tad sorry for her (Leila Hayes that is) after her youtube appearance. How is she or anyone (unless you are La Lehman and have money on the mind) supposed to know that the soaps they were in back then would have DVD releases today? She seems a lovely woman in Tom's Interviews DVD

See im afraid I dont feel sorry for her at all. She signed a contract at the time she worked on the series and got paid for her work. I wouldnt expect to be paid for a job I did 20 odd years ago, why should she? If I wrote a book, should I get paid everytime someone borrows it from a library?
Personally I think from her appearance on that Tonight Today show or whatever its called she appears far from lovely. If shes that hard up, how comes shes running a drama school?
And to be fair, a number of the cast appeared at the promotion for the 'Best of Pat' DVD release, so they cant be that bitter.......

She seemed genuinely upset and emotional to me. I think any artiste should be entitled to Royalties - some music bands live off a one-hit wonder they had years ago for example!

Yes, now I agree with that they should be, however SHE signed her contract at the time. Its her responsibility. I also heard it is like that in most countries, as in they get royalties but is/was different in Australia, which im not saying is right either You know im as much of a fan of Ms Lehman as you are, however wasnt she the sensible one who looked into royalties etc for herself??

I thought I remember seeing a clip where somebody said they were looking at getting "monies" to the S&D cast for the DVD release, but that it would take some time? Now Col, you know "very well" that my favourite person in the world is Ms Lehman (don't forget to get her new DVD - literally a 10 minute short film for £20)! Back to a "new" series of S&D and I think it would be perfect for Abigail to make her comeback in
