More plausible would be in my opinion have Jill leave to go to John. I always thought her leaving with Terry odd to say the least

No disrespect to Andrew Clarke, who had a really tough job on his hands with Terry.
Having the character rape Jill within his first few episodes made it really hard to warm to him afterwards. Although I guess there are many cases of victims forgiving their attackers and even being able to get on with them after. It just seemed a bit odd that the reasoning for it was presented in a 'yes, that makes its okay' manner. It was at odds from a show that throughout had portrayed prostitutes and their plight in a generally empathic manner.
Just out of interest did Andrew Clarke ever get any trouble from members of the public as actors sometimes do when they play the villain of the story? His departure seemed pretty abrupt.

Yeah, I hated this guy. "The nice rapist" as I sarcastically called him! Perhaps it had something to do with the way everyone always treated Wayne like shit over anything and everything, but all was forgiven within a few weeks for the nice rapist!
