Another 'Who Said It?' Quiz - thanks to czb for the idea (which I hope isn't copyrighted!)
Who spoke these lines and who did they say them to?
1. "What do you think I was trying to do? Invite him in for drinks?"
2. "I'm sick of being used and yelled at! Find your own way home!"
3. "You seem to want to marry every woman you meet!"
4. "My friends say I could read out the entries in the telephone directory and make it sound suggestive."
5. "It sounds corny, but just another sunrise can look beautiful if you weren't expecting to see it."
6. "Birthdays are such fun, aren't they? A lovely opportunity for everyone to get together and chat about old times." (This comment was made to no-one in particular, but what was the occasion?)
7. "We're down to zero, lady."
8. "Talking of bridges, I hear you've burnt a few lately."[/b]
9. "I don't care what I have to do. You're never going to leave me again!"
10. "I know I love you now. You're my husband." (Possibly the hardest question of all!)
OK, some relatively easy; some not so easy! Happy guessing!

For now, until I can find time to think about the more difficult ones, the only one that I can instantly recognise is:
7. "We're down to zero, lady." JAMES HAMILTON, to Alison Carr, just before a vast amount of money is saved by the producers because the small plane in which they are flying towards Brolga to prevent Wayne from marrying Mary crashes off-screen rather than on-screen. (Episode 696).
I have a strong feeling that number 2 is the closing cliffhanger from an episode in the second half of the series - but that doesn't narrow it down very much!

Ah.......just thinking again about number 2, I think it might be Charlie Bartlett to Alison Carr, after they have been unsuccessful in finding Micky Pratt and/or persuading her to talk to the police. It's certainly something to do with that storyline, anyway?

Or number 2 could be John to Wayne, just before he walks off and leaves him in his wheelchair at Woombai?
Number 6 is Patricia when she walks in at Toorak, just after Barbara and Dee have had a massive row at Dee's birthday party!

Or number 2 could be John to Wayne, just before he walks off and leaves him in his wheelchair at Woombai? Mmm.......possibly, but, although I'm not quite as confident about the circumstances, I'm still fairly sure it was Charlie to Alison, and at the end of an episode! I've thought of another one: 9. "I don't care what I have to do. You're never going to leave me again!"WAYNE HAMILTON, to Susan Hamilton - the last time we see her alive, in the final episode?

Well done czb and Chris:
Czb, you're spot on with Number 9 (Episode 972) and Number 7 (Episode 696).
Chris is correct about Number 6 (Episode 325).
You're both correct about Number 2 being Charlie to Alison, however it wasn't the Micky Pratt storyline. It was from Episode 674 after Mary had just told Alison she didn't want to see her again because of the mishap with the missing opals. Alison took it out on Charlie, who retorted with said expression!
OK, six more to guesss. I'll keep the unguessed questions in bold type in the post above.

Ah well, this one is proving more difficult! Any more guesses or do you need some clues?

Ah well, this one is proving more difficult! Any more guesses or do you need some clues? I think we need more clues - most of the remaining quotes aren't ringing any bells with me at all. The only random thoughts I've had on any of them are: 1. "What do you think I was trying to do? Invite him in for drinks?"I wondered if this might have been Caroline Morrell, to Stephen Morrell, when he found her with the ex-lover from overseas (I forget his name) who Gary Evans despatched following the gambling game with the spikes (for which Glen or whoever had to do a "Viewers shouldn't try this at home" warning!!!). But I don't think this is right. 5. "It sounds corny, but just another sunrise can look beautiful if you weren't expecting to see it."A character close to death, or who thinks they are? Alan Brandon might be a possibilty - to one of his family members or carers? Or even to that nurse who finished him off?? 10. "I know I love you now. You're my husband." (Possibly the hardest question of all!)I'm wondering if this one is so hard because it's a man speaking!!!!! But really I have no idea about this one or any others.

Actually.......just following up on my "character close to death" idea for number 5, I think Dee Morrell might have said something like this, to Amanda and/or Wayne?

But I don't think this is right. Not correct - not even close! - but a very good guess. A clue is that this was spoken at Woombai, shortly after a long-term guest character had made their first appearance. You're correct second time - it was Dee, and she said it to Wayne at the Morrell apartment the morning after she had talked him out of killing himself. She was talking about her heart condition, of course, as she had just been relased from hospital. Well done! no, it wasn't a man speaking - quoting another character I assume you mean! The reason I think it could be a tricky one is because the man said it to wasn't actually her husband! Ring any bells? I'll give some clues to the other unguessed ones later!

8. "Talking of bridges, I hear you've burnt a few lately."quote] And that has to be Patricia in ultra-bitch mode after Fiona lost her home in a fire

3. "You seem to want to marry every woman you meet!" This sound like something someone might have said to Stephen Morrell - Barbara, perhaps?

"I know I love you now. You're my husband." LOL - has to be Angela to John and I only know cos I watched that episode today!! Yes, it was! Angela said it to John when she had amnesia, and Matt had suggested John pretended to be her husband in an attempt to shock into getting her memory back (Episode 278). Spot on again! One of my favourite bitchy lines!

3. "You seem to want to marry every woman you meet!" This sound like something someone might have said to Stephen Morrell - Barbara, perhaps? Nope, not Barbara to Stephen. Think of a male character who got engaged quite a few times..
